Project details:
This is a Saturday program that will begin Saturday, Feb 7
Saturday sessions will be held 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm
Program dates are: 2/7, 2/14, 2/21, 2/28, 3/7, 3/14, 3/21, and 3/28. A culminating showcase will be held afterward, details pending.
APL location will be in Lawndale, address TBD
Participants commit to attending all 8 sessions & the culminating showcase to receive a $500 stipend.
Themes/experiences for participants will include racial healing circles, people's history of the One Lawndale movement, choosing social justice topics aligned to youth interest/passion, and creative expression within mural arts.
Please express interest here before Friday January 9th, 2026! Candidates will be asked to participate in a mandatory virtual meet and greet session in mid January to finalize the APL roster and get questions answered.
